What does “operational” mean?

The latest checks passed: the service can read account and conversation data, a private live connection received a ping reply, file storage passed a write/read check, and the call server answered a STUN request.

These are service checks, not a test of every customer’s connection. Voice and video remain beta features; a STUN response does not test an authenticated call relay allocation or a complete call. Email delivery is not checked here.

Checks run while this page is open and visible. Server results may be reused for up to 10 seconds. This page is hosted separately from the Messenger service, so it can still show connection failures. No historical uptime percentage is claimed.
